The Salina Bianco "Carlo Hauner" is a very rich white wine that reflects, with its warm and pleasantly salty touch, the territory of the Aeolian Islands. After aging in steel and barrique, it expresses a mineral and fruity personality, with notes of yellow fruit and sweet spices. The sip is soft and enveloping, with good freshness.

The Salina Bianco “Carlo Hauner” from the Hauner winery is a intense and mineral white wine produced in the village of Marina Salina, on the island of Salina, part of the magnificent natural paradise of Sicily represented by the Eolian Islands. This label is obtained from an equal blend of Carricante, Grillo, and Inzolia grapes sourced from vines cultivated on microscopic plots, which exhibit the typical agronomic scheme of the Mediterranean, characterized by very low pergolas and volcanic soils of Pleistocene origin rich in microelements and minerals. The winery, owner of about 20 hectares of vineyards, is a family-run business founded over 40 years ago by the Brescia designer Carlo Hauner and has now become a certainty for the entire Sicilian and national wine scene.

The “Carlo Hauner” Salina Bianco is produced with grapes that are hand-harvested and carefully selected at the moment of their optimal ripeness, generally around mid-September. The bunches are thus pre-cooled and brought to the winery where they undergo a brief cold skin maceration, which adds structure and aromas, before being pressed and undergoing alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers for several weeks. Subsequently, the wine is racked and aged for about 12 months in stainless steel tanks and another 6 months in barriques, before being bottled and allowed to mature for at least another 6 months in the bottle before being released for sale.

The Salina Bianco “Carlo Hauner” presents itself with a bright straw yellow color with intense golden hues. On the nose, intense aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit and citrus appear, including peach, plum, and mandarin, floral notes of mimosa and wildflowers, spicy hints, and aromatic herbs, including vanilla, oregano, and peanut butter, finishing with briny and mineral echoes. On the palate, it is rich, soft, and fresh, characterized by a pleasant salinity and persistence. This wine from the Hauner winery is a Sicilian white of great typicity, which beautifully combines
