The Tempranillo Rosso 7° “Autor” is one of the most important labels of the Spanish winery Lar de Maia, the highest expression of Tempranillo in the Castilla y León region. Thanks to particularly favorable climatic conditions and suitable soils, the grape variety provides perfectly ripe and high-quality grapes, allowing for the creation of a deep and elegant red, complex and persistent. Although it is already pleasant to taste right away, it is a wine for aging, reaching its full maturity only after a few years of bottle refinement. Don't rush!
The Rosso 7° Tempranillo “Autor” is the result of the careful and passionate work of a winery with a craft character, producing excellent wines. The bodega Lar de Maia has always aimed to give voice to the territory and to the indigenous Iberian grape varieties in a transparent and direct way. The vineyards are cultivated sustainably, in a natural environment rich in biodiversity, which includes arable fields and wooded areas. The Tempranillo grapes come from different parcels of the estate and are hand-harvested with selection of the best bunches in the vineyard. After destemming, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for a few weeks. The wine matures for a period of 14 months in French and American oak barrels and completes the refinement with 12 months in bottle before being released on the market.
“Autor” Tempranillo Rosso 7° from the Iberian winery Lar de Maia is an important wine that highlights the best qualities of this extraordinary Spanish grape variety. Due to its characteristics, it is a red suitable for pairing with roasted red meats, grilled meat, or game on the spit. It presents in the glass a beautiful dark ruby color with slight garnet reflections. Intense and elegant, it expresses aromas of small dark berries, currant, blueberry, cherry, red-fleshed plum, spicy hints of vanilla, licorice root, toasted nuances of roasting and bitter cocoa. Structured and rich, on the palate it presents a dense and mature tannic texture, mature, which envelops a ripe and satisfying fruit. The dense and complex sip unfolds harmoniously towards a long and very persistent finish.
