Casa Mariol's Verdejo is a Catalan white wine produced in Terra Alta, where the variety is exotic and unusual. Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, this creamy and refreshing wine is characterised by a distinctive and pleasant bitter finish that balances the intense fruity and tropical hints, of which pineapple is the protagonist. Recommended with dips such as hummus and guacamole, asparagus fritters or the traditional pan y tomate

The Verdejo from the Spanish wine company Casa Mariol is characterized as a white wine from Catalonia with a exotic aromatic profile. Mainly cultivated in the territory of Rueda, an area included in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Verdejo is an unusual grape to find in Catalonia, which is why Casa Mariol's expression represents a kind of unicum. In general, Verdejo wines are characterized by citrus and herbal notes, as well as a fresh yet full-bodied taste. For these attributes, this grape is often compared to Sauvignon Blanc.

Casa Mariol Verdejo originates from only grapes of the same variety grown at high altitudes on soils with a high concentration of limestone, in the Mediterranean climate that distinguishes the Terra Alta, also characterized by the constant presence of winds. The harvest is carried out at night to maximize the preservation of the aromatic precursors contained in the berries, the same reason why the alcoholic fermentation that follows the soft pressing of the grapes takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. Still in steel, the wine matures for a few months until the final bottling.

To the eye, Casa Mariol's Verdejo reveals a straw yellow color with brilliant greenish reflections. The olfactory range offers precious aromas of exotic fruits such as pineapple and lime, supported by fruity and floral hints of apricot, green apple, and white flowers. Creamy and refreshing on the palate, with excellent balance, and a pleasant bitter hint in the finish typical of Verdejo. Thanks to its lightness, this white wine is suitable for consumption on various occasions, especially paired with seafood dishes or vegetable-based dishes.
