VERMENTINO DI GALLURA SUPERIORE 'CUCAIONE' PIERO MANCINI 2021 DESCRIPTION

Quality and price: a binomial not always easy to find within the world of wine, too often dominated by values that rarely reflect what we find in the glass. A production reality where quality and price go hand in hand is undoubtedly that of Piero Mancini, a winery that, also with this Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Cucaione, presents us with a bottle to buy immediately. A white wine that ranks at the top of the winery's entire production, from which emerges all the beauty of the Sardinian Mediterranean scrub, which makes its way to the nose with intense aromatic herb scents. If you are planning fish dinners, then Cucaione is the label for you.

Piero Mancini winery makes this Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Cucaione from the grapes of a typical Sardinian grape variety, Vermentino. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest phase to ensure only the best of the terroir of origin, ferment in steel at a controlled temperature of 18 degrees. This is followed by the aging phase, also carried out in steel for several months, at the end of which the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed.

Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Cucaione targato Piero Mancini reveals itself in the glass with a straw yellow color, crossed by light reflections tending to green. On the nose there are interesting notes of aromatic herbs, which, on the finish, give way to fruity nuances. On the palate it is light-bodied, drinkable, streamlined, marked by a perfectly balanced sip. A label with which the winery wants to celebrate the terroir of Gallura, giving us a white wine that, sip after sip, drags us inside the Sardinian vegetation.
