Jeaunaux Robin is a small family-run Champagne winery in the village of Talus-Saint-Prix, on the border of the Côte de Blancs with the Côte de Sézanne, in a unique and very characteristic terroir called Vallée du Petit Morin, crossed by the Marne tributary, where the clay and limestone soils have a high percentage of silica. The winery was founded in 1964 by Michel and Marie-Claude Jeaunaux and is now run by Cyril Jeaunaux together with his wife Clémence Robin with passion, a bond with tradition and respect for the land, so much so that the vineyards have been converted to organic farming and, in some microparticles, to biodynamic farming.

The Jeaunaux Robin family's property covers only 5 hectares of vineyards planted mostly with Pinot Meunier, the only vine able to withstand the late frosts that can occur in this area, but Cyril and Clémence's bet is to also favor Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in some young micro-parts. The average age of the vines is around 35 years old. The production philosophy involves crushing in traditional manually activated presses and spontaneous vinifications in steel, enameled cement or oak barrels over 10 years old from Burgundy, already used for 3 or 4 vinifications. A deep chalk quarry is dug under the cellar, where Champagne bottles age in optimal conditions from 2 to 7 years before disgorgement.

The Champagnes of the small Maison Jeaunaux Robin express the character and personality of a unique and very special terroir, that of the Vallée du Petit Morin, set like a small jewel in the Champagne region. The strong presence of silica gives the Champagnes a distinct minerality, which each year is interpreted to the fullest and integrated, through skilful assemblage, into a beautiful aromatic complexity.
