Brunello di Montalcino La Magia 2017

La Magia

The Brunello di Montalcino by La Magia is a full-bodied red wine, cared for and energetic, the result of a long maturation in tonneaux for about 36 months. It diffuses aromas of flowers, sensations of black cherry, confit cherry, citrus peel and a pleasing spicy-toasted nuance. The palate exhibits a great structure, with a soft creaminess, a refined elegance and very fine tannins

Brunello di Montalcino La Màgia is a fine expression of pure Sangiovese, expressing all the elegance and finesse of a great terroir. In this famous area of Tuscan wines, thanks to the altitude, the suitable soils, and a mild climate marked by good temperature ranges, great reds are produced, appreciated by enthusiasts and the finest connoisseurs all over the world. The long aging in wood allows the wine to release all its refined aromatic facets, enriched by tertiary notes.

Fattoria La Màgia's Brunello di Montalcino red is an organic wine made within an estate managed in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. The 15 hectares of vineyards are part of the property of the Schwarz family, which has always been in love with the beauty of these places. The Sangiovese grapes come from vineyards that are more than 40 years old and are cultivated on the southeastern side of Montalcino, in the Sant'Antimo area, at an altitude of about 400-450 meters above sea level. The sunny and always well-ventilated exposure allows grapes of excellent quality, healthy and rich in aromas to ripen. The vines are grown on stony, sandy soils that rest on deeper layers of clay. At the end of the harvest, the best grapes are selected and sent to fermentation, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in truncated conical vats, with a 40-day maceration period on the skins. The wine ages for 36 months in 500-liter tonneaux, 1/3 new and the remaining 2/3 used. Aging is completed with several months in bottle.

Brunello di Montalcino La Màgia wine has a beautiful light ruby red color with luminous garnet reflections. The nose expresses a very elegant bouquet, marked by floral scents of dried rose petals and violets. The palate is fragrant, with aromas of ripe cherries, red currants, delicate spicy hints and hints of noble woods. The palate has good structure, with dense tannins but well integrated with the body of the wine. The sip is deep and rich, with fruity aromas that veer towards refined tertiary sensations. The finish is long and very persistent.
