"Barrosu" is a Cannonau of great territorial expressiveness, able to tell in a pure and genuine way the Sardinian territory of Nuoro. It exudes intense and complex aromas of Mediterranean scrub and myrtle and has a full-bodied and warm structure of great elegance and personality

Montisci's Cannonau Riserva "Barrosu" is a powerful and exciting portrait of Mamoiada, as well as among the greatest Italian reds. Few places like Barbagia restore that idea of unspoiled rurality and the ''strength'' of a place, made up of centuries-old culture and traditions, and to the latter is ascribed the cultivation of the vine, and more precisely of the local grape by exception namely Cannonau. Mamoiada is also the land of Giovanni Montisci, a former mechanic and motor enthusiast, who after inheriting 2 hectares of vineyard decided to change his life and devote himself entirely to viticulture. The heritage is the magical one that only Sardinia and few other places possess, namely old bush-trained vines that have never known the use of chemicals. A few extraordinary fruits to obtain "Barrosu," which in Sardinian dialect means swagger, summing up in part the character of the wine and its producer. Bottles of priceless power and territoriality, one of a kind.

Montisci's Riserva Cannonau "Barrosu" is made from pure grapes of the vine of the same name, sourced from old bush-trained vineyards located in Mamoiada and grown without the use of any chemicals or synthesis. In the winery, the same philosophy is continued, so all fermentation takes place spontaneously without the clarification or filtration. Aged for 12 months in large barrels before bottling, which takes place without the addition of sulfur.

Montisci's "Barrosu" presents itself in the glass with a ruby robe that veers toward garnet. The nose is frankly disorienting and exciting for the variety of suggestions it proposes and for its ability to return without hesitation to its place of origin: myrtle, fennel, helichrysum and saltiness come together in a sumptuous and very impressive picture. The sip is no less, totalizing in its ability to conquer the palate by virtue of its overflowing power. A unique and unforgettable wine, capable of redefining concepts and establishing new yardsticks of comparison.
