GRIGNOLINO D'ASTI 'L'INTRUSO' LAIOLO REGININ 2019 DESCRIPTION

Laiolo Reginin's Grignolino d'Asti "L'Intruso" is a Piedmontese wine made from an ancient local grape variety with a particularly elegant personality. Grignolino is an atypical red with a soft color and a delicate, floral and fruity bouquet. Its fresh and savory sip makes it very smooth and pleasant to drink. It is a wine that plays on subtle and refined notes. It pairs well with first courses or with white meats.

Laiolo Reginin's Grignolino "L'Intruso" takes its name from its exceptional character, in a area that tends toward the enhancement of Barbera grapes. The winery is located in Vinchio, in the province of Asti, among the rolling hills of the beautiful Monferrato territory. It is here that Guido Laiolo "Reginin" cultivates his vines with artisanal care, refusing the use of herbicides and chemical fertilizers and working in the cellar with the utmost respect for the grapes, to produce labels with a straightforward character, authentic expressions of the precious combination of vine and territory. At the end of the harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for a few months in large oak barrels and is bottled without any clarification, so that the varietal characteristics remain unaltered and intact.

"L'Intruso" Grignolino di Laiolo Reginin is a perfect label to get to know the true face of this interesting native Piedmontese grape variety and discover its extraordinary pleasantness. In the goblet, it shows a soft, light ruby red color with orange hues. The olfactory profile is refined and seductive, with delicate floral aromas of dog rose, violet, dried rose petals and small red berries. The sip is subtle and harmonious, with mild aromas, subtle tannins, and a fresh, slightly savory finish.
