The Macon Blanc by Joseph Lafarge is a pure Chardonnay produced on the limestone and clay soils of Burgundy. Fresh, round, vibrant, and with a brilliant golden yellow color, this white wine is the result of non-invasive practices, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in stainless steel. Very aromatic, it releases aromas of peach, almond, and hawthorn and is perfect to pair with fish dishes or soft cheeses.

The Macon Blanc from Domain Joseph Lafarge is a very fresh and accessible Chardonnay produced in the Lugny area of southern Burgundy. In the area around this small village, grape cultivation has very ancient origins, dating back at least to the 12th century, as evidenced by several documents. Among these, those related to the Lordship of Lugny stand out, in which taxes related to wheat, rye, oats, and indeed wine shared with the religious institutions of Mâcon and Cluny are mentioned. The only grape variety cultivated in the area is Chardonnay, a noble white grape variety that generally dominates the entire Mâconnais area.

Domain Joseph Lafarge Macon Blanc is made from only Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards located in the municipality of Lugny, characterized by clay-limestone soils and an excellent exposure to the south and southeast. The agronomic management is based on sustainable practices, such as the use of organic fertilizers and the exclusion of chemical pesticides and herbicides. The harvest is carried out with special latest generation harvesting machines while in the cellar the winemaking is based on the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, without contact with the skins. The subsequent aging phase also takes place in steel and after a few months the wine is finally bottled.

The Macon Blanc Domain Joseph Lafarge is pale straw yellow with brilliant golden and greenish highlights. Aromas of white peach, green apple, pear, orange peel, and hawthorn describe the olfactory spectrum, associated with hints of citrus honey and fresh almond. The taste is dry, round, and medium-bodied, very fresh and slender, with a vibrant savory finish that evokes consistent sensations of summer fruit and almond.
