CHAMPAGNE BRUT BLANC DE BLANCS PHILIPPE DECHELLE 2014 DESCRIPTION

Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs from Maison Philippe Dechelle is a refined label of great finesse that expresses pure Chardonnay's elegance. It is made from a selection of grapes from the best plots of the winery, which have always been of high quality and excellent aromatic intensity. It is one of the house's jewels, made according to the ancient know-how of the terroir and with particularly long ageing on the lees. The characteristic floral and fruity notes of the vine are enriched by developing nuances of dried fruit and small pastries.

Brut Blanc de Blancs is a Champagne from the Maison Philippe Dechelle, an artisanal winery that has been cultivating vineyards near Brasles in the western Vallée de la Marne for several generations. The estate covers 9 hectares, divided into numerous plots planted with Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. The cuvée is made from Chardonnay grapes harvested at full ripeness and then soft pressed. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After a short ageing period, the base wines are blended to obtain the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the method Champenoise with storage on the lees for at least 48 months.

Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut, a product of Philippe Dechelle's house, is an ideal accompaniment to appetizers, first courses of seafood or delicately seasoned fish with white meat. It has a brilliant straw yellow colour with bright greenish reflections and a perlage of great finesse and persistence. The bouquet is characterized by elegant aromas of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, green apple, peach, and melon, complemented by notes of pain brioche, dried fruit and nuances of white flowers. The entry on the palate is creamy and soft with intense and persistent fruit flavours that lead to a finish marked by a savoury note and marked freshness.
