GRECO DI TUFO 'GIALLO D'ARLES' QUINTODECIMO 2021 DESCRIPTION

Quintodecimo's Greco di Tufo "Giallo d'Arles" is a bottle not to be missed. Thanks to a larger format, the evolution of the wine is slower and guarantees exceptional integrity even after many years. This is an important feature and much appreciated by connoisseurs, who well know the longevity of this extraordinary white. Its name is inspired Van Gogh's favorite color, won over by the warm light of Arles. It is an intense and elegant wine, to be enjoyed with important dishes and in the company of true enthusiasts.

"Giallo d'Arles" is a Greco di Tufo from the Quintodecimo winery, which comes from one of the most prestigious estates in the entire Irpinia area. The Greco di Tufo vineyards, which donate the precious grapes for the production of the label, are located near the town of Tufo, in particular in contrada Santa Lucia in Mirabella Eclano, at an altitude of about 450 meters above sea level, with an exposure facing southeast. This is a true estate cru, guaranteeing superior quality grapes each year in terms of intensity, balance and aromatic richness. At the end of the harvest, which usually takes place in mid-October, the best clusters are gently pressed and the flower must ferments in temperature-controlled steel tanks, except for 30 percent of the mass, which ferments in new French oak barrels. Before bottling, the wine is aged for about 8 months on fine lees, with periodic bâtonnage.

The Greco di Tufo "Giallo d'Arles" wine produced by Quintodecimo is a high-end version of this extraordinary white grape variety from Campania. While already pleasant to taste right away, this is a white wine that can boast excellent aging potential, with elegant and complex aromatic evolutions. To the eye, it is an intense and bright yellow, with brilliant golden reflections, which embellish its seductive appearance. Rich and refined, it offers aromas of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, apricot, jammy quince, peach and hints of dried fruit. Structured and elegant, it offers a sip marked by deep and persistent aromas, supported by a vibrant freshness, which accompanies a savory finish.
