GRECO DI TUFO 'CUTIZZI' FEUDI DI SAN GREGORIO 2021 DESCRIPTION

Feudi di San Gregorio's Greco di Tufo "Cutizzi" is an intense and deep white, well expressing the best characteristics of Greco in the vocated lands of Irpinia. It is a wine of good structure, with rich, broad and complex aromas, supported by a vibrant freshness, which gives the sip a great gustatory balance. This ancient grape variety of Greek origin has been present in Campania for millennia and has found in the Avellino area great soils of volcanic origin and a cool, continental climate, which enhance its characteristic elegance and finesse.

"Cutizzi" Greco di Tufo belongs to Cantina Feudi di San Gregorio's Selections line, a range of wines that aims to express the best characters of the fortunate combination between grape variety and terroir. It stems from the basic idea of using only the best Greco grapes grown in the vineyards of Santa Paolina, on soils with a fine chalky matrix, which express grapes of great finesse and elegance. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 16/18 °C. The wine then rests, again in steel on its own yeasts, for about 4/5 months, with periodic bâtonnage. It completes its aging with a few months in bottle before being released.

Feudi di San Gregorio's "Cutizzi" is a classic example of how the fortunate union between a great native grape variety and a territory can give rise to excellence of the highest level. It is a white of character, intended for those who love structure, depth, expressive freshness and also the ability to evolve and age over time. The color is light yellow with golden highlights. The nose is characterized by intense aromas, with notes of ripe fruit, and nuances of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is broad and rich, with dense and juicy aromas, crossed by a lively citrus freshness, which gives dynamism and momentum to the sip.

When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can easily cellar it for 2-3 years
