The Barbaresco "Serragrilli" by Marchesi di Barolo is a masterful interpretation of this historic denomination that comes to life here in the Neive area. On the nose, the aromas of berries, dog rose, wet earth, and tobacco are clear and elegant, with menthol notes leading to a harmonious, decisive, and balanced sip between freshness and tannic verve, with a pleasant savory finish.

The “Serragrilli” Marchesi di Barolo is a Barbaresco with intense and persistent aromas, leading to a sip that is full and rich, where harmony is always present. The tannins are particularly striking, moving on the palate almost quietly, without being too prominent, thus facilitating the enjoyment of this Barbaresco, which, although young compared to its evolutionary potential, can already be savored with satisfaction. A label that finds its perfect match at the table with recipes based on red meat and game.

The Barbaresco Marchesi di Barolo “Serragrilli” originates from pure grapes of an important red berry variety, Nebbiolo. The winery produces this label starting from the vines of this variety cultivated in the cru that gives it its name, characterized by a clayey and calcareous soil, rich in sand and silt. The exposure is towards the southwest, and the training method chosen for the vines is the guyot. The must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, carrying out the subsequent malolactic fermentation in cement tanks.glazed cement. The final aging takes place first in both oak barrels and in barriques for 12 months, and then, once the bottling operations are completed, continues for another 9 months directly in glass.

The “Serragrilli” is a Barbaresco that presents itself with a ruby red color, characterized by reflections that tend more towards garnet. The aromas enveloping the nose tell a range of complex and layered notes, shifting from red fruit to spices and earthiness, also bringing to mind hints of tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping, with a refreshing sip and finely crafted tannins; it finishes with a savory taste. A label from Marchesi di Barolo that, over the years, consistently maintains excellent quality levels, recognized by the main industry guides not only in Italy but also internationally.
