Rosé Wine 'Alie Ammiraglia' Frescobaldi 2021

Because of its delicate and sensual nature, Frescobaldi's rosé wine produced in the Maremma-based Tenuta Ammiraglia was named Alìe, after the sea nymphs of Greek mythology. It comes from the harmonious blend of Syrah and Vermentino grapes, grown in the Magliano area on the Tyrrhenian coast, where the noble Frescobaldi family owns a beautiful estate. Here the innovative winery built by architect Piero Sartogo perfectly complements the conformation of the land and the vast sunny vineyards, caressed by sea breezes.

Tenuta Ammiraglia's Rosato Alìe encapsulates all the marine and Mediterranean atmosphere of the Maremma coastal territory, combining them in terms of delicacy and expressive refinement. Syrah grapes impart a rosé color that is very pleasing to the eye without the need for maceration, but only thanks to a direct soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with no malolactic fermentation taking place. The addition of minimal amounts of Vermentino contributes impeccably to the fresh-savory balance that marks this label. A brief aging in steel tanks and then in the bottle completes in the production process, ensuring the enhancement of the more youthful, simple, crisp and floral qualities of this Frescobaldi rosé wine.

Alìe Ammiraglia Frescobaldi is synonymous with delicacy, elegance and sharpness. It comes in a stately pale pink hue reminiscent of the color of certain old roses in a well-tended garden. Soft nuances of flowers and strawberries, citrus and fresh fruit hover in mid-air from the glass, blended into a mineral and saline undertone. On the palate it manifests balance, harmony and drinkable agility, dispensing with grace and mobile aplomb echoes of citrus, white flowers.
