BAROLO MARZIANO ABBONA 2018 DESCRIPTION

Marziano Abbona’s Barolo is a wine that knows how to dialogue with the past and with the future future: perfect presence of a great red wine such as the "King of wines", the result of tradition but also of an elegance and a modern aromatic cleanness. An uncompromising wine that needs no introduction, just its presence and the excellent value for money with which it is proposed.

The Abbona family, from the historical founder Martian, then with Father Celso, to the brothers Marziano and Enrico, has been searching for the best plots, even before concepts such as terroir and cru, where you can tie the largest vines to the land in view of memorable productions. This Barolo comes from the Perno vineyard near Monforte d'Alba, one of the territories most suited to the production of Nebbiolo grapes for these austere red wines of Langhe. The Abbona family knows in depth and has great regard for their parcels by carefully treating the grapes destined for the vinification of the best wines.

Barolo Abbona comes to life from the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, through indigenous yeasts, in contact with the skins for about 30 days, during which continuous pumping over is carried out. Aging takes 30 months in barrels of 25 hectoliters plus 6 months in bottle. The Barolo Marziano Abbona is ruby red, graceful with garnet reflections. The nose has floral scents of rose hips and wisteria that fade on sensations of violet, sometimes balsamic, with a finish of wet earth and tobacco. On the palate the wine is clear, better you can not ask, savory, complex and refreshing finish wrapped in a balanced tannins. A wine that tells the story of tradition and that revives memories.
