Lallement Massonnot's Champagne Brut Réserve Premier Cru, aged for at least 3 years on the lees in the bottle, is predominantly composed of Chardonnay, which gives it freshness and refinement, along with beautiful floral notes. A decisive touch, combined with the fruity flavours of Pinot Meunier. It is straw yellow in colour, with hints of white flowers, mineral aromas and a hint of acidity that complete the experience.
The Champagne Brut Réserve Premier Cru from Maison Lallement Massonnot is an elegant and refined cuvée that exemplifies the classic style of this fine establishment in the Montagne de Reims. The prevalence of Chardonnay contributes to the floral and aromatic finesse of the blend, balanced nicely by the more austere and rich structure of the Pinot Noir and the pleasant fruity smoothness of the Meunier. Thanks to extended ageing on the lees, a perfect harmony of components wonderfully meld together to create a high-level tasting experience. This Champagne is ideal for those who prefer labels born from craftsmanship and a direct expression of terroir.
The Brut Réserve Premier Cru Lallement Massonnot is a Champagne that originates from a family-owned Maison, which manages an estate near Bouilly, with vineyards in the municipalities of Coulommes-la-Montagne, Pargny-lès-Reims, Saint-Euphrasie, and Gueux. After providing grapes to a local cooperative for many years, the Lallement Massonnot label was created in 1981 to market their Champagnes directly. The grapes of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier are vinified separately by grape variety, following the maturation times of each individual plot. After fermentation, the base wines are aged for several months before being blended to create the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a resting period sur lattes of at least 3 years before disgorgement.
The Brut Réserve Premier Cru is a Champagne from Maison Lallement Massonnot that stands out for its harmony and balance. It's a label of great elegance with a pleasantly satisfying character. It pairs very well with seafood appetizers, scallops, or a seafood choucroute. In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow colour, with a fine and continuous perlage. Refined and elegant, it reveals aromas of white flowers, lemon zest, flavours of white-fleshed fruit, and nuances of brioche and pastry. On the palate, it is smooth and creamy, with rich fruit and a broad sip that leads to a fresh and persistent finish.
