Maison Louis Huot's Champagne Rosé de Saignée is a Brut of great character and expressive force, a symbol of the gustatory power and elegant saltiness of the terroir of Epernay, located in an area of historic winemaking vocation, between the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims. Domaine Louis Huot has always prided itself with honor on the definition of RM, Recoltant Manipulant, used to distinguish vignerons who cultivate and harvest grapes independently, then later make blends in the most authentic and personal style.
Louis Huot's Champagne Rosé de Saignée Brut is a fine blend of pure Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier grapes that changes according to the overall performance of each vintage. The bright salmon pink color is due to the brief maceration of the must on the skins before alcoholic fermentation, which takes place in stainless steel vats. The second fermentation will take place in the bottle, following the principles of the Champenoise Method, where the wine will rest for at least 2 years before disgorging and adding a sugar dosage of 5 grams per liter.
Louis Huot's Brut Rosé de Saignée is an expressive and iconic label of the winery declined in a rosé version. The perlage presents itself to the eye with a beautiful finesse, rich and persistent. The scents it emanates on the nose are multifaceted, small red fruits such as currants emerge on the nose and then veer into crisp notes of butter, freshly baked bread and custard. Try it for aperitifs, but also at the end of a meal especially with any kind of chocolate. A Champagne that is hard to forget for its fine smoothness, taste persistence and also for the excellent value for money, hard to find in this production area.
