Nebbiolo by Scarzello is the young brother of the maison Barolo, in a more immediate and juicy version. Aged only in big barrels, it is all played on fragrant hints of cherry, wild strawberry and raspberries, embraced by salty, slightly smoky and spicy notes. The sip is taut, delicate, vibrant with a surprising balance of taste and a balsamic finish that lasts for a long time.

Scarzello's Nebbiolo is a balanced, immediately understandable, and graceful wine. The grape is valued and never altered, telling the story of the winery's strong connection to the territory, and presenting itself in a tasting with typical varietal notes on the nose, enhanced by more tertiary hints, a prelude to a linear sip of excellent quality. A label that is aware of its own value, which reveals its spirit made of ancient traditions that, however, looks to the future without fear, with the desire to confirm itself at excellent quality levels.
This Nebbiolo is made by the Scarzello winery starting from those vineyards located near Sarmassa, Alba, and Sinio, ranging from an altitude of 250 to 550 meters above sea level and characterized by a subsoil of clay and limestone. The must ferments in temperature-controlled steel containers, macerating for a long time with the skins. The production process ends with the aging phase, which is twofold: first, the wine remains to rest for 8 months in large oak barrels with a capacity of 25 hectoliters and in 500-liter wooden barrels, and then, once bottled, it undergoes further maturation for 6 months directly in glass.
Scarzello's red wine moves in the glass with a garnet hue, endowed with a particular brightness that attracts the eye. On the nose, crisp fruit notes develop, enriched minute by minute by salty touches and more tertiary nuances. On the palate, it has a good, wide, and round body, entering with a harmonious, fresh, and tasty sip; it closes with a balsamic aftertaste. A bottle that embodies the classic Nebbiolo di Langa, perfect for starting to approach this great native Piedmontese grape variety.
