Dogliani Superiore "Vigna Tecc" of Poderi Luigi Einaudi was born with the vintage 2005. This is the year in which Dolcetto is able to complete a journey that lasted years, reaching the characteristics of complexity, richness and strength much appreciated by those who love this wine. We are in Dogliani, in one of the wineries more capable of expressing tradition and history; 11 farms for a total of 145 hectares, of which 104 in the municipality of Dogliani alone.
It is here that Poderi Luigi Einaudi is located; a historic Italian winery founded in 1897 thanks to Luigi Einaudi, the "professor" as he was called by his fellow citizens. At the heart of the estate is a concept as simple as it is effective: a great wine can only come from a great vineyard. The history of Poderi Luigi Einaudi revolves around this philosophy that led the historic owner not to miss even one harvest, even during the seven years of his mandate as President of the Republic. The the absolute protagonist of the winery, among all the varieties offered by Langhe, is Dolcetto; it is produced in their Tecc vineyard, located in the southern part of the Municipality of Dogliani, on the "sorì" of Madonna delle Grazie and San Giacomo, at a height of 350-385 meters above sea level.
The Dogliani "Vigna Tecc" does not fear comparisons; we are faced with a great wine of medium aging, with grapes that come from a balanced blend and that vinify with an induced malolactic fermentation and age in steel tanks and wooden barrels. A traditional wine made from a Dolcetto that expresses completely the terroir of its territory of origin: round, soft, fresh, dry and softly tannic. Tasting Dolcetto dei Poderi Einaudi is reliving the history of our country; a history not only made of wine.
