UNLITRO AMPELEIA 2021 - 100CL DESCRIPTION

Ampeleia's Unlitro is a red wine that has become almost iconic, because it combines convivial format with irresistible drinkability. It should not be forgotten that wine is a beverage with a strongly convivial meaning, and must be mostly an everyday companion at the table, while also trying not to lack personality. Requirements that are amply satisfied by Unlitro, the entry wine of a splendid reality in the Grosseto area such as Ampeleia, which has opted since its foundation for an approach aimed at restrained and very limited interventionism, except when strictly necessary. The grape varieties found here are mainly international, such as Cabernet Franc, Alicante, Mourvedre and others that have adapted perfectly to the local climatic conditions. Liquids characterised by elegance and velvety tactility, which make Ampeleia's wines an undisputed point of mediation between newcomers and old fans. Jolly.

The Unlitro wine is made from a blend of Alicante Nero, Alicante Bouschet, Carignano, Sangiovese and Mourvedre from vineyards located between 200 and 350 m above sea level. In agriculture, the precepts of Steiner biodynamics are followed, avoiding the use of any chemical and synthetic substances, and consistently in the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place in cement tanks, the same tanks in which the wine matures for six months before being bottled.

Ampeleia Unlitro presents itself in the glass with a faint ruby red colour that is nonetheless vital. The nose is defined and fresh, where hints of cherry, pomegranate, aromatic herbs and dark spices stand out in rapid succession. The sip is the best you could ask for from a great everyday wine, juicy and dynamic, it is perfectly fused between salt and pulpy freshness. A transversal and invigorating bottle that would demand to be stocked.
