PINOT GRIS 'FALLWIND' ST MICHAEL EPPAN 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Pinot Grigio "Fallwind" by San Michele Appiano won us over immediately because it represents the perfect blend of minerality and freshness that are the typical characteristics of the white wines of Alto Adige. San Michele Appiano is not a new, it’s an historic cellar in the territory of South Tyrol, where the wine is home to more than 2000 years thanks to the uniqueness of the local terroir. A passion passed by generation to generation: this is what characterizes the success of San Michele Appiano; more than 300 families of winemakers that make up his spine and contribute with knowledge, passion and dedication to ensure grapes with an excellent quality. Such as those used to produce this Pinot Grigio coming from the sunny vineyards of "Fallwind", located just outside the historic center of San Michele, at an altitude of 400-430 meters above sea level and on a gravelly soil of limestone. And here borns the Pinot Grigio "Anger" by San Michele Appiano, a Pinot Grigio ready to drink from the lovely structure and the great balance. A Pinot Grigio which surprises for its delicate notes of ripe pear and melon that enters with a pleasant creaminess and smoothness. The final offering spices and tones with almonds and vanilla, half of which is based on a refinement conducted in wooden barrels. Pinot Grigio "Fallwind" by San Michele Appiano: the perfect expression of the terroir of South Tyrol.

When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can easily leave it in your cellar for 3-4 years
