SANGIOVESE DI ROMAGNA SUPERIORE 'I MANDORLI' NICOLUCCI 2021 DESCRIPTION

Nicolucci's Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore "I Mandorli" is a wine in which the aromatic cleanliness, the straightforwardness and a dry, soft sip coexist harmoniously. The nose is enveloped in mainly fruity and floral tones, which open up to a drinkable sip, to say the least. A brilliant example of Sangiovese di Romagna, "I Mandorli" is the symbol of one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in the entire territory, capable in recent decades of projecting age-old traditions into the future of wine, balancing ancient knowledge with innovative techniques and visions. A label perfect to accompany a good meal, to always have at home.

"I Mandorli" Nicolucci is a Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore that comes from the pure use of Sangiovese grapes. The vines of this variety grow in vineyards located over 300 metres above sea level, in soils characterised by a subsoil rich in tuff, clay, limestone and sulphur. Traditional working methods, handed down from generation to generation, are followed both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in stainless steel containers, and subsequent ageing takes place in vitrified cement tanks, at the end of which the wine is ready to be bottled.

The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore "I Mandorli" Nicolucci develops in the glass with a ruby red colour, clear and bright. Freshly picked fruit appears on the nose with different nuances, also enriched by floral hints and slight herbaceous notes. On the palate it's full-bodied, with an engaging drinkability. A label that is characterised by its excellent value for money, to be tried both at aperitif time, with cold cuts and fresh cheeses, and throughout the whole meal, perfect to be paired with first courses accompanied by a good meat sauce.
