SEMI-SPARKLING ROSÉ WINE 'PERBENCI' FRANCHINA E GIARONE DESCRIPTION

Franchina and Giarone's Rosato "Perbenci" is a wine produced on the foothills of Modena, in Emilia Romagna. The business is led by Luca Pizzetti, who has seen his project realized on the two farms of Franchina and Giarone. Luca's working philosophy is to enhance and share the authentic flavors of the territory: his wine is the result of careful work that respects the surrounding environment, the ripening phases of the plants and the raw material. The labels bear an illustration, representative of the places close to Luca's heart; the name "Perbenci" is dedicated to his beloved Benci and is a hymn to love.

The pure Lambrusco Grasparossa grapes in Franchina and Giarone's Rosato "Perbenci" grow in a typical continental climate with hot summers and harsh winters, prone to sudden frosts; rainfall is not particularly abundant, so much so that there is often a shortage of water for the crops. The soil is compact and composed of clay, a condition that has made the wine growing in this area difficult and heroic, but the costly and careful activity of man has favored the establishment of local grape varieties that know how to express themselves in the best way possible. The harvest is conducted manually and in the cellar the fermentation is spontaneous thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts; it is aged in fiberglass and re-fermented in the bottle with frozen must.

The color of Franchina and Giarone's Rosato "Perbenci" is a beautiful intense rosé with auburn highlights and a rich froth, delighting to the eye. To the nose it has the characteristic aromas of wild strawberry, blackberry and cherry and a delicious scent of rose; in the mouth, it is agile, drinkable and explosively fresh. When paired, it is excellent throughout a whole meal, from pickles to fresh summer salads and for sunset aperitifs with typical cold cuts and fresh cheeses. A great companion for carefree get-togethers with lifelong loved ones and for cheerful family lunches.
