'TERRE SILVATE' LA DISTESA DESCRIPTION

"Terre Silvate" by La Distesa is a delightful entry-level white wine from Corrado Dottori, and we're not exaggerating when we say it offers exceptional quality for its price. Corrado Dottori is undoubtedly one of the most important and representative figures in artisanal winemaking, not only for his splendid and ever-changing wines but also for the culture and seriousness that define him. A determined advocate of a non-interventionist approach, Corrado is arguably the foremost champion of the Verdicchio grape, which all too often suffers from impersonal and static interpretations. Nevertheless, he maintains a critical spirit, eschewing fads and favouring deeply rooted local traditions, which endow his bottles with focus and immense personality. We find ourselves in the presence of one of Italy's finest white winemakers, so all that remains is to enjoy his creations, starting with this carefree nectar.

The white "Terre Silvate" is primarily a blend of Verdicchio with a small proportion of Trebbiano. No chemical or synthetic substances are used in the vineyard, respecting the soil and plant's vitality entirely. In the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place without any clarification or filtration. The liquid ages 6 months in concrete tanks and is bottled with only minimal sulfur dioxide.

In the glass, "Terre Silvate" presents itself with a bright and lively yellow hue. The nose is gently bucolic, offering notes of hay, wildflowers, lime, and green apple, creating a straightforward yet sharply defined profile. The palate is dangerously smooth and dynamic, a perfect blend of pulp, acidity, and a saline vein. It's a magnificent everyday bottle.
