ALBANA SECCO 'A' FATTORIA MONTICINO ROSSO 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Albana Secco "A" from Fattoria Monticino Rosso is a wine that, from the first sip, exudes an air of understated elegance. The prominent mineral undertone in the background of the palate is quite intriguing, building in intensity as the savoury notes intermingle with the aromas on the nose, resulting in a harmonious tasting experience that beckons for sip after sip. This bottle truly pays tribute to the Zeoli family, long regarded as masters in expressing the most traditional facets of the Albana grape.

"A" Albana is crafted by Fattoria Monticino Rosso using exclusively Albana grapes, indigenous to Romagna and always cultivated in the winery's own vineyards. The vines are grown in the Romagna "pergoletta" system, in a terroir characterized by hilly terrain and clayey subsoil. The must is obtained from pressing the finest berries, which undergo fermentation in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. The final ageing phase lasts a few months and takes place in steel and, to a minimal extent, French oak barriques. After this brief maturation, the wine is ready for bottling and commercialization.

The Albana Secco "A" by Fattoria Monticino Rosso reveals itself with a bright, gleaming, straw-yellow colour. The initial nose offers floral and fruity characteristics, gradually introducing hints of aromatic herbs. The palate entry is light-bodied, marked by a captivating and enveloping sip, where a fresh and savoury vein predominates, making it extremely smooth. This white is a perfect companion to various traditional Italian dishes and boasts an extraordinarily advantageous quality-to-price ratio.
