ETNA ROSSO 'A' RINA' GIROLAMO RUSSO 2019 DESCRIPTION

The Etna Red 'A Rina by Girolamo Russo is one of those wines absolutely to try and learn. Girolamo Russo is an institution in the world of wine of Sicily; a man who since 2004 leads the family cellar and that produce Etna Red in three different versions. Here we have the "base", but drinking this 'A Rina everything we could think except to be in front of a "base wine" in its narrower term, too abused sometimes. Girolamo Russo has obtained the organic certification a few years ago and he make more attention to detail: for Girolamo Russo, graduated in piano, wine is a symphony, is a melody, is a set of notes that must be in harmony with each other. 'A Rina borns in the vineyards of San Lorenzo, the Manor, the Manor Middle and Calderara Sottana, on the north slopes of Etna, on volcanic and sandy soil, rich of minerals and on vineyards that year age really matter, ranging from 50 to 100 years. The temperature, as the vineyards located between 650 and 800 meters above sea level, lead to individual grapes a nice aromatic concentration that is released on the nose with hints of cherry, plum, tobacco and leather. We are facing of an Etna Red stylish and good complexity, fresh and with a final softly tannic which helps to create an incredibly pleasant drinkability and great persistence. 'A Rina is one of the Etna Red that most impressed us; a "base wine" with an incredible potential.

When to open
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can leave it in you cellar even for more than 5 years
