"Flor Pingus" Ribera del Duero by Dominio de Pingus is the flagship label of this famous winery based in Quintanilla de Onésimo, near Valladolid. The estate covers an area of 45 hectares in the heart of Ribera del Duero's vineyard, in the region of Castilla y Léon. The vineyards are located in the beautiful Duero river valley, characterized by suitable soils and a mild climate with good temperature fluctuations, which allow slow and optimal ripening of the grapes. The vineyards are managed in the traditional way, with simple work and very low yields per plant, so that maximum concentration can be achieved. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts and the wine ages for a period of at least 18 months in French oak barrels.

To the eye, it is dark ruby red in colour with light garnet reflections. On the nose, it captivates with an intense and elegant bouquet, offering aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, plum, hints of liquorice root, bitter cocoa, tobacco, vanilla, oriental spices and hints of wood. Structured and enveloping, it has an aromatically deep sip, dressed in a dense, ripe and evolved tannic texture. The finish is long, harmonious and very persistent.
