'SAMPAGNINO' ROSA BULLI DESCRIPTION

The "Sampagnino" Rosa from the Bulli winery is a classic sparkling wine produced using the Ancestral Method, an ancient sparkling wine-making process, which involves re-fermenting the wine sur lie in the bottle without subsequent dégorgement. The wine is made from a blend of white and red grapes and is the bottle of conviviality, to be enjoyed in company with a platter of tasty local cold cuts or as an aperitif. The lively fruity aromas and the dry, savoury taste give the wine an extraordinary drinking pleasure.

The Bulli winery manages an estate of about ten hectares in this splendid area of Piacenza, characterised by a mild, breezy climate and particularly suitable soils consisting of sand, red clay and rich in iron minerals. The Bulli family has been involved in viticulture since the early 1900s and has remained faithful to the historical vines of the area and to the Piacenza area's typical vinification style. No chemical substances are used in the vineyard and all vinification is carried out in such a way as to always bring the varietal characteristics of the grapes to the fore. This is a land that particularly loves semi-sparkling wines and sur lie sparkling wines, which make it possible to preserve the aromatic profile of the grapes, enriching it with intense and elegant evolutionary notes.

Bulli's "Sampagnino" rosé wine from the Piacenza area is a wine of tradition. In accordance with most ancient customs, it is not a single variety but the result of blending red and white grapes. The base wine is then re-fermented in the bottle according to the ancestral method. The presence of yeasts represents a natural protection, allowing no sulphur dioxide to be added. In the glass it is a slightly veiled pink colour due to the presence of yeasts and with a delicate, lively froth. The bouquet expresses intense aromas of berries, hints of citrus, floral nuances, hints of bread crust and yeasts. The sip is smooth and pleasantly savoury, crisp and with a very fresh finish.
