L'Acino
The winery l’Acino was founded in 2006, thanks to the will of three friends who share the desire and passion to make everyone discover the almost forgotten enological Calabria. Today the fate of this artisanal company is in the hands of Dino Briglio, one of the three founders, who passionately carries on the basic idea and the company philosophy, which consists of focusing not only on the native grape varieties of the territory but also on verifying the biodynamic method as a definitive choice of life and work.
The story of this small reality begins with the rental of two vineyards, one hectare of Mantonico and three hectares of Magliocco: two very ancient native grape varieties, almost forgotten in these lands, and it is precisely from here that the three founders decided to invest to look to the future by starting again from the lost traditions. The territory of San Marco Argentano, in the province of Cosenza, manages to combine a mountain-style microclimate and the beneficial influence of the Mediterranean winds, which keep the vineyards healthy and vigorous, expressing themselves through elegance and pleasantness.rusticity.
All this is based on the firm conviction of establishing a relationship with the cultivated land that is as respectful and natural as possible, the only method capable of enhancing the terroir and bringing to the attention of the Italian wine scene this young and dynamic Calabrian reality. Today, thanks to tenacity and passion, Dino has succeeded in making himself known in the national wine world, thanks to the incredible personality of his wines, always faithful to tradition and their territory.
