BAV - Birrificio Artigianale Veneziano
BAV is the happy acronym by which the Birrificio Artigianale Veneziano is known, founded in 2010 in Maerne di Martellago, in the province of Venice. A young reality that has shown from the very beginning awareness and maturity, establishing itself as an important name in craft beer, not only for Veneto but for the whole boot. After some unforeseen obstacles and logistical difficulties, a group of friends finds the courage and financial strength to invest in the new future of the brewery. Dario is the master brewer at home, who over time has become increasingly firm in managing the plant, supported by the dynamic spirit of Rudi, who ensures always new and fruitful commercial outlets. Together with them, Luigi takes care of balancing the accounts at the end of the year and Marco completes the group work by dealing with research and development.
The Birrificio Artigianale Veneziano BAV has made teamwork and team harmony the key to its success, combined with the use of traceable and quality raw materials. The water, that makes up 85% of the final recipe measures 28 French degrees and is of fundamental importance in determining the flavor of the beverage that will go into the bottle. The malts are mostly of German origin and the hops are American; during production, no processing such as filtration or pasteurization is used, nor any additives. All beers are top-fermented - except for the Pilsner, originally made at low temperatures - and are inspired by the most well-known and fashionable brewing styles, without lacking a touch of personal creativity. The respect for the most rooted and typical tradition meets modern taste and the needs of modern palates.
