Bellenda
Bellenda is Prosecco. Since 1986, this winery owned by the Cosmo family has taken root in Carpesica, in the renowned Prosecco production area. We are in Veneto, in the gentle rolling hills surrounding the province of Treviso, where the richness of the soil merges with the wisdom of wine. In the daily practices of this winery, originality and tradition, creativity and the past come together: Bellenda has managed to challenge time, proposing innovative labels that are in step with the times, achieving fame and media attention at both national and international levels.
The properties of Bellenda extend over 35 hectares of vineyards - to which 15 more are added on lease - distributed around Carpesica, a small village in Vittorio Veneto, straddling the area that falls under the DOCG Conegliano-Valdobbiadene regulation and that of the DOC Prosecco, in the province of Treviso. The meticulous care of the vineyard occupies a privileged place in the checklist of a good winemaker according to Umberto Bellenda, who has committed himself in recent years to eliminating the use of herbicides in favor of grass mowing and maintaining wooded areas adjacent to the vineyards, to enrich them with natural biodiversity.in favor of grass mowing and maintaining wooded areas adjacent to the vineyards, to enrich them with natural biodiversity. Everything in the company is done with a systemic purpose aimed at "no waste": the pruning residues are reused for energy purposes, solar panels almost completely cover the energy doses needed, and the use of heat pumps and natural gas for heating the interiors is preferred.
For the past thirty years, Bellenda has been committed to producing an ever-expanding range of sparkling wines, in order to tantalize the most diverse and varied palates, catering to their personal taste inclinations and moods. From the classic Prosecco made from Glera grapes, produced according to the Charmat Method with different sugar dosage levels ranging from Extra Dry to Pas Dosé, passing through the Classic Method starting from varieties Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, and Raboso, up to Prosecco made with artisanal methods, with refermentation in the bottle and without disgorgement, to be enjoyed absolutely and deliberately cloudy! Sympathy, creative flair, and production ofsparkling wines always in step with the times: here are the (not too secret) secrets that make Bellenda one of the most interesting and ambitious realities in the Prosecco area.
