The Belvedere brand is an undisputed icon of super-premium vodka known and appreciated all over the world. Its entire production takes place in a distillery dating back to 1910 located in the town of Zyrardow, Poland, a country that together with Russia is the original home of vodka. Today's business was started in 1993 and three years later the first Belvedere branded vodkas were launched on the market as a luxury distillate of the highest quality. Since 2005, the brand has been taken over by the renowned French LVMH group. The appellation Belvedere comes from the Belweder Palace in Warsaw, the presidential seat of Poland, which is also depicted on the labels.
The basis of Belvedere vodka production is Dankowskie rye, a sweet, prized variety grown in Poland on the plains of Mazovia, which in turn is divided into Diamond and Gold sub-varieties. After harvesting, the cereal is sprouted to break down the complex sugars into simple sugars and is then mixed with water to obtain the must, which undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, the mass undergoes no less than four distillations and is filtered several times to obtain a crystal-clear and aromatically clean product. An exception is the fine 'Single Estate Rye' line in the 'Smogory Forest' and 'Lake Bartezek' declinations, which are bottled without filtration. Regardless of the vodka in question, it is always diluted with water from the purest springs from the distillery's own wells before bottling. The classic line does not use any additives, while the vodkas of the 'Organic Infusions' selection are made with the addition of organically grown fruits and botanicals, which are infused.
The Belvedere brand's super-premium vodkas reinterpret over 600 years of Polish tradition in the production of this famous spirit with a modern and innovative style of great impact and elegance. Having become a symbol of luxury in the world of spirits, Belvedere vodkas are appreciated for their clean, delicate aromas and creamy taste, characteristics that make these products as delicious straight up as they are in mixology.
