Borgo Paglianetto
Borgo Paglianetto is one of the most interesting realities in the Verdicchio area. The winery is located in Matelica, in the locality of Pagliano, and produces high-quality organic wines. It was founded in 2008 by five partners who, despite being involved in other professions, share a love for wine and this beautiful land: Luciano Bruzzechesse Pierandrea Farroni, Mario Basilissi, and the brothers Giovanni Battista and Antonio Roversi. The Matelica valley stretches between Fabriano and Camerino and is uniquely oriented on a north-south axis. The Marche region, and in particular the classic area of Castelli di Jesi, is characterized by a series of valleys descending from the Apennine hills to the sea with a west-east orientation.
The orographic conformation of the territory is very important and significantly affects the characteristics of the wines. In the Jesi area, the climate is warm and Mediterranean, influenced by the sea breezes. Verdicchio expresses itself with rich, sunny wines with mature and intense aromas. In the Matelica area, the vineyards do not intensity and aromatic complexity. Wines of great drinkability, straightforward and elegant.
