Bruno Michel

The Maison Bruno Michel is a small family-run business that produces a range of Champagne made with genuine passion and artisanal care, with the authentic desire to give voice to the terroir. Far from the standardization of large and renowned Maisons, it represents the authentic face of Champagne, still tied to the work of a single vigneron, who directly cultivates the vines of his domaine. It is a Maison that offers Champagne suitable for enthusiasts seeking the nuances of the territory and a personal interpretative style, capable of still giving the emotion of a unique, recognizable, and unrepeatable bottle.

The Maison was founded in 1985 and currently has a vineyard area of a total of 12 hectares, divided into about thirty small parcels. The domaine is located in the municipality of Pierry, a few kilometers south of Épernay, considered the true capital of Champagne. Bruno Michel has always considered work in the vineyard as the most important part of the entire production process and has focused his attention on the agronomic aspects of his activity. Since 1998, all vineyards have been managed under certified organic farming, without the use of herbicides and chemicals. Thanks to this attention to the environment, the vines have been able to find their natural balance and today produce grapes that are not only of excellent quality but also healthy and genuine.

As per the vocation of the territory, the vineyards are predominantly cultivated with Chardonnay, along with the other two classic grapes of Champagne: Meunier and Pinot Noir. The excellent quality of the grapes, the parcel vinifications of the individual vines, conducted with extreme care, allow for a wide range of vins clairs to create the blends. The long aging in ancient underground caves carved into the gypsum allows for perfect evolution of the wines in conditions of constant temperature and humidity. Each label is made with different percentages of the cultivated grape varieties and is designed to offer a particular nuance of the terroir.
