Buvoli - Opificio del Pinot Nero

The Opificio del Pinot Nero by Marco Buvoli is an original reality, dedicated to enhancing the famous grape variety, located near Gambugliano, in the hilly area northwest of Vicenza. The project was born from Marco Buvoli's passion for the noble French grape variety. As he loves to recount, it was while sipping a great Champagne Blanc de Noirs that he decided to embark on a personal adventure in the world of wine, with the desire to challenge himself and try to create a high-end Metodo Classico, capable of expressing the best characteristics of Pinot Noir and the terroir of Colli Vicentini. An ambitious and demanding challenge, which soon materialized into a success.

As often happens when starting a new artisanal activity, the winery was created within the house and the vineyards found a home in a splendid pre-Alpine territory, characterized by a cool climate and good temperature variations, ideal for ripening grapes with a fine and elegant profile. The estate is managed with the utmost respect for nature, following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, without the use of chemical substances.respect for nature, following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, without the use of chemicals. The goal is to bring healthy and genuine grapes to the cellar, in order to always rely on high-quality raw materials. The use of selected French clones, working with low yields, and choosing only the best bunches are the foundations of Marco Buvoli's work.

The grapes only need to be accompanied and supported in their transformation into wine, trying to limit human intervention to the bare minimum. In all cellar practices, a light enology is used, with gentle pressing, to extract only the free-run juice and very delicate vinifications. Fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks or wooden vats. For the aging of reds, French oak barriques and tonneaux are used. Marco Buvoli's wines are the result of great artisanal care, a small quality production dedicated to enthusiasts and connoisseurs. The range of labels is a tribute to two great terroirs: Champagne
