Ca' del Vent

Ca' del Vent is a small sparkling wine reality from Lombardy. It produces Metodo Classico following a personal path, inspired by a totally artisanal and environmentally friendly production process. The estate is located in the area of the Natural Park of the Hills of Campiani in Cellatica, in a beautiful area at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, characterized by a cool climate, always very windy and with significant temperature variations. The vineyards extend over 6.5 hectares cultivated with a west-southwest exposure. The soils are particularly valuable, composed of limestone and clay, a characteristic that differentiates them greatly from the morainic origin that distinguishes most of the Franciacorta lands. Thanks to a careful zoning analysis, as many as 11 different crus have been identified, characterized by peculiar typicities.

Each parcel is cultivated, harvested, and vinified individually, in order to enhance the nuances of the territory, which has always been very suited to viticulture. The area of Cellatica has always been a cradle of agricultural activities, since the Celtic populations. The tradition of vine cultivation has crossed the centuries and has remained alive until the post-World War II period, when the industrialization of the Brescia area led to the abandonment of the more difficult lands to cultivate. Since 1967, the area can claim two denominations, Cellatica or Franciacorta. Towards the mid-1990s, Ca' del Vent began its first experiments with small artisanal vinifications of red wines. In 2001, the first bottles of Franciacorta were produced, but soon the winery decided to take its own path in the field of Metodo Classico, leaving the Franciacorta denomination to produce a wine that is an authentic expression of the territory and of the vintage.

Since 2015, Ca' del Vent has followed its own production protocol, more rigorous than that of Franciacorta and has become part of the Vinnatur association. The vineyards are managed inspired by the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, without claiming any
