Tani
The Tani winery is a family-run production reality located in the heart of Gallura, committed to enhancing the wines and wine culture of Sardinia. It was founded in 1980 by brothers Tonino and Franco Tani, who are in love with their land and determined to dedicate themselves entirely to it. This deep bond led them in 2008 to invest again in the development of the business and to start bottling on their own, assisted by the second generation of the family, represented by Tonino's daughters, Angelica and Roberta.
The winery is located in a town of ancient cultural and wine tradition called Monti, surrounded by woods and granite plateaus and situated at the foot of the Limbàra mountains, in the Gallura hinterland. The area is particularly suited for the production of Vermentino due to the mineral soils born from granite disintegration, the strong temperature fluctuations, the salty winds, and the altitude of over 350 meters. Planted in 1980, the vines are over 35 years old. At the foot of Mount Limbàra,At 550 meters above sea level, red grapes of Muristellu and Cannonau have been planted. In the center of the vineyards, a winery was built in 2008, equipped with modern steel equipment and semi-underground spaces for potential aging in wooden barrels.
The wines of the Tani winery are distinguished by a significant rocky mineral component that decisively expresses the imprint of the territory. Freshness, savoriness, softness, hints of stone and Mediterranean scrub are the synthesis of Tani wines, a faithful embodiment of the wild and unspoiled highlands of Gallura. The expressive savory, iodized, and mineral component combines with Mediterranean hints of herbs, fruit, citrus, and undergrowth in a balance of remarkable character capable of evoking emotions.
