Cascina del Bosco
The Cascina del Bosco estate is located in Valcalepio, the hilly area situated in the foothills between the Adda and Oglio rivers. A lush and green territory, covered with woods and hills that offer beautiful sunny exposures, ideal for quality viticulture. The history of Cascina Bosco began in 1967 when Lorenzo Bonaldi purchased Sorisole, a ten-hectare farm in the heart of Valcalepio. Convinced that quality wine could also be produced in this area of the Bergamo territory, he began the first work to create the vineyards in the early 1970s. Being an area without ancient traditions and native varieties, he decided to cultivate the most famous international grape varieties, which guaranteed a good adaptability to the local pedoclimatic characteristics. The choice thus fell on: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Pinot Grigio.
