Stephane Brocard is the son of Jean Marc, an important and renowned winemaker from Chablis, and owner of 2 hectares of vineyard in the north of Côte de Nuits since 2007. In addition to managing his own vineyards according to the principles of organic farming and vinifying the fruit of his harvests, Stephane has launched a selection of the best bottles produced by other organic winemakers from Burgundy under the Closerie des Alisiers brand. The criteria for this selection are the elegance of the organoleptic characteristics, balance, fruity aromas, and typical freshness. This way, it has been possible to enhance exceptional wines from prestigious denominations, produced by lesser-known producers and offered at an excellent quality/price ratio.
Stephane Brocard's modus operandi, both as an independent producer and as a selector for Closerie des Alisier, aims to enhance authentic expressions of the territory, obtained with the utmost respect for the environment. He works closely and in collaboration with all the winemakers included in his selection, highlighting the particularity of each micro-terroir and the different expressions that Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can take on. The owned vineyards are located in the old villages of Pommard and Daix, while the winemakers they collaborate with own properties in the best Grand Cru and Premier Cru of Burgundy. We are talking about prestigious denominations such as those of Chablis, Pouilly Fuissé, and Gevrey Chambertin.
