Deperu Holler

The Deperu Holler winery is located in Perfugas, in the province of Sassari, and has a magnificent estate. The project is managed by the couple Tatiana and Carlo. Carlo Deperu is a Sardinian winemaker who, after graduating in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Milan, decided to return to his homeland, with the desire to start his own business. Tatiana Holler, Brazilian of German descent, after a degree in Marketing and Communication from the ESPM University in São Paulo-Brazil, met Carlo in Milan and passionately embraced the project of moving to Sardinia, to begin together a new life adventure. Carlo takes care of the vineyard and the winery, while Tatiana manages the administrative part and the commercial and marketing aspects of the company.

In 2007, the first 4 hectares were planted in an area with great potential. The estate is located in the north of Sardinia between the regions of Gallura and Anglona. The vineyards are cultivated in the locality of "Lu Scupaggiu", in an area characterized by predominantly calcareous soils, where the mountainous reliefs of Gallura soften and blend into the wide hilly valleys of Anglona. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot summers, but always mitigated by the presence of sea breezes, the Maestrale wind, and the proximity of Lake Coghinas. The particular microclimate and the suitable soils create an ideal habitat for the vine, which grows within a natural context that is still wild and unspoiled.

The vineyards are cultivated with the utmost respect for nature, trying to intervene as little as possible, to promote the development of a natural vegetative and productive balance of the plants. In the countryside, the principles of organic farming are followed, with no use of herbicides or synthetic chemical products for treatments. The inter-row areas are kept grassy, even using legumes. Good ventilation keeps the bunches always dry and healthy, and the use of sulfur and copper is minimized to the essential.produce with very low yields, not exceeding 50 quintals/ha. The wines of Deperu Holler are the result of artisanal work and maintain a straightforward and authentic profile.
