Domaine Rapet
Domaine Rapet Père & Fils is located near Pernand-Vergelesses, right in the area that marks the border between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, in the heart of the Burgundy region. It is a historic family domaine of the territory, created back in 1765 and passed down from generation to generation to this day. The estate extends over about twenty hectares, divided into numerous parcels, located in the prestigious municipal territories of: Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny les Beaune, Chorey les Beaune, Aloxe Corton and Beaune. A selection of vines acquired over the centuries, which today constitutes the most precious heritage of the domaine, at the base of a range of labels of excellent quality level.
Thanks to this small mosaic of vineyards, Domaine Rapet Père & Fils is able to produce red and white wines, capable of expressing the best characteristics of each single terroir and the most famous Crus. At the base of the estate's success, there is a manic attention to the vineyard, with the awareness that only starting from excellent grapes can one produce great wines.produce great wines. The vineyards enjoy excellent sunny exposures, which allow for complete maturation of the clusters. The cultivation with high planting density favors low yields and good aromatic concentration of the grapes. The work between the rows is carried out manually with ancient artisanal savoir-faire and with great respect for the vine.
The agronomic management is carried out with the utmost respect for nature and the biodiversity of the environment, in order to preserve a healthy ecosystem. The domaine obtained certification from the Ministère de l'Agriculture et de l'Alimentation Haute Valeur Environnementale in 2012. As per established centuries-old tradition, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are cultivated in the vineyard, along with some parcels of Aligoté. The winemaking of white grapes takes place with very gentle pressing, in order to extract only the first fraction of the must. The winemaking occurs in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The red grapes are vinified with a maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks, in order to extract all the typical fruity aromas of Pinot Noir.typical fruity aromas of Pinot Noir. The wine then matures in French oak barrels for at least a year before bottling.
