The Doro Princic winery is a historical reality in Collio, founded in 1950 by the brilliant self-taught winemaker Isidoro Princic, known as Doro to everyone, who for years was a central figure in the Collio Doc Consortium. Before the appellation was established, he was one of the first producers to bottle productions under his own label starting in 1965. Today the legacy has been taken up by his son Alessandro, called Sandro, joined by his wife Grazia and son Carlo, committed to enhancing and perpetuating the most authentic traditions of the area.

Doro Princic's signature wines are born from painstaking and rigorous work in the vineyards, spread over about 12 hectares, where the historic varieties of the area are grown: Friulano, Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla and Pinot Bianco. The territory is that of the small locality of Pradis, located between the two centers of Capriva and Cormons, considered today as one of the most vocated micro-terroirs of the entire denomination because of the mild and very sunny slopes. The stratified Eocene marls, called "ponca," that make up the soil of these hills characterize all wine production, guaranteeing intense mineral freshness and excellent elegance. The vinifications, respectful of the fruit and conducted in such a way as to bring out the peculiarities of the terroir, guarantee a very typical and expressive style.

The production of Doro Princic wines is limited in terms of quantity and are capable of reaching high qualitative heights. In fact, the yields are kept low to always achieve excellence in each label, always having Isidoro's teachings as a reference. The whites are vinified in steel without skin contact and with maturation on the lees, while the reds are vinified in large 20-hectoliter barrels. The common style is articulated, intense and rich. The results are exciting and increase even more with a few years of bottle aging.
