Gojer Franz
Franz Gojer manages the small Gloggholof winery with his family, in the heart of the Santa Magdalena wine region. The great importance that Franz places on individuality is reflected in the distinctive character and identity of his labels, which demonstrate their unequivocal homeland. The creative process that leads to the production of his bottles is strongly focused on maintaining high levels of grape quality, allowing for minimal intervention in the cellar, giving the raw material the time to develop and evolve with the slowness that will allow it to develop the range of aromas necessary to make it recognizable.
Gloggholf is located on the outskirts of the city of Bolzano, south of the Dolomites, where the gentle hills of the Santa Magdalena area extend, with spectacular landscapes crowned by breathtaking peaks. The farmhouse of Franz Gojer dates back to the 14th century, and the family winemaking tradition has been passed down from father to son ever since. During the 1970s, the winery expanded significantly, with the introduction of selected grape varieties and the specific goal, as a passionate winemaker, of rediscovering all the native varieties such as Schiava and Lagrein. The vineyards, located over 600 meters above sea level, rise on light and well-aerated morainic soils. The manual harvest aims to preserve the raw material and limit interventions in the cellar, to obtain elegant and harmonious labels, while maintaining their recognizable identity and vintage.

The meticulous cellar practices aim to convey the signature of these “artisans” of wine that, once bottled, becomes a true message for the consumer, a testament to a long labor done with the love of an entire family. The summer heat and the cold of the winter months each year represent a challenge that the Gojers embrace like the grapes from their vines, to transform it into something wonderful, that
only with total devotion can it be obtained.Franz Gojer manages the small Gloggholof winery with his family, in the heart of the Santa Magdalena wine region.
