Fratelli Muraro
The Muraro family has always sought to make their land and products known. The idea has been in the DNA of the Muraro family for centuries now, starting from the Muraro hotel in Santa Giustina and from the ancient cellar where grandfather Bepi loved to produce wine and distribute it in the areas of Belluno. Today, the owners of the winery are the 4 siblings Elena, Laura, Alberto, and Maria, who produce territorial wines according to the oldest family traditions traced by their grandfather. The vines grow lush between the Piave River and Monte Pizzocco, in that small fertile strip of land in Veneto near Belluno. The Piave is the natural element, a symbol of strength and will, that binds the family to this land and allows, through its clear waters that have smoothed the territory for years, to cultivate vines and practice quality agriculture. The flowing water thus becomes the metaphor for a change in direction, renewal, and the transformation of a true project with a new winemaking culture.
The varieties cultivated by the Muraro family are Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco, grapes that love cool temperatures and are not afraid of harsh winters. The soil is foothill and the Dolomites provide a backdrop to a very suggestive and unique territorial picture. The viticulture practiced at the winery is inclined towards organic principles and prohibits the use of chemicals and herbicides to safeguard the vitality of the environment. The grape harvest is done manually and the production processes (vinification and aging) are carried out in steel.
The wines of Fratelli Muraro have a fresh and mountainous profile, with a pleasant mineral note brought by the soil. They are very fragrant and characterized by aromas of spring flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and mountain herbs. Easy to drink and direct, but also exciting and deep, capable of encapsulating in a sip the beauty of the Piave and the territorial imprint of Belluno.
