Heaven's Door

The American production reality Heaven's Door is the creator of a selection of whiskeys of exceptional quality, made with the participation of the famous singer Bob Dylan in a perfect blend of musical art and distillation. Heaven's Door, a name derived from the famous song Knocking on Heaven's Door, collaborates with popular distilleries around the world to shape its exceptional whiskeys. Bob Dylan himself states that he embarked on this adventure with the intention of creating a collection of American whiskeys that could tell their own specific story. Although the legal headquarters of Heaven's Door is in Chicago, Illinois, the distillery is located in Tennessee, the land of music and whiskey, specifically in Nashville, in a nearly 200-year-old renovated church.

The whiskeys from the Heaven's Door distillery are primarily made from corn, rye, and barley, which are used alone or blended, giving rise to the so-called “mash”. This is then fermented through a process called “sour mash fermentation”, which consists of adding pure demineralized water to the mixture and an acid infusion rich in yeasts from previous inoculations. Once the fermentation process is completed, the mash is distilled and subsequently aged for a long period in American or French oak barrels, depending on the label in question.

Thus, the whiskeys of Heaven's Door are born, acclaimed and awarded by international critics. The beautiful labels illustrate the iron gates made by Bob Dylan in his metalworking shop, named “Black Buffalo Ironworks”, using objects collected from farms and scrap yards across the United States of America.
