Milan Jean
Jean Milan is a small Champagne house, located in the Grand Cru Oger in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, an area known worldwide for being extraordinarily suited for the production of Chardonnay grapes. The house has a long winemaking history, starting from its foundation in 1864 by the great figure of Jean. Today, after as many as five generations, the two siblings Caroline and Jean-Charles, the latter also the chef de cave, expertly and competently lead the production of the prestigious bubbles from the Milan house, carrying forward all the values of the historic family tradition and combining them with the most modern technologies. Thus, tradition is supported and enhanced by modernity, which translates into knowledge and technical innovations.
The owned area spans just over 5 hectares, while the area corresponding to purchased grapes is about 3, cultivated almost entirely with Chardonnay Grand Cru. The produced labels are 9 and the focus is specifically onChardonnay, except for the Rosé which includes a percentage of Pinot Noir. A wide range of Blanc de Blancs, therefore, ranging from Brut, a faithful portrait of tradition, to the Grande Réserve 1864, a tribute to the founder, passing through exceptional expressions of Extra Brut and various selections. Elegance, finesse, freshness, and length of taste: these are the essential characteristics of Jean Milan Champagnes, as well as their distinctive traits, which make them unique and precious expressions, capable of captivating from the very first sip.
The Jean Milan house can also boast another quality, namely that of being accessible and enjoyable by a wider number of consumers, presenting a great quality-price ratio. Refinement, elegance, and style have allowed these Champagnes to carve out a place among the great French bubbles. Alongside great names in the French sparkling wine scene, this small reality also finds space, enchanting and making generations of enthusiasts dream with its wines.
