Maria Pia Castelli

Maria Pia Castelli is a craft winery from the Marche region that produces highly territorial wines through an approach that combines traditional knowledge with modern techniques and expertise in the wine sector. The estate was founded in 1999 by Erasmo Castelli, the father of Maria Pia, who, along with her husband Enrico Bartoletti, now runs the winery located in the province of Fermo, among the hills of the municipality of Monte Urano. Thanks to the meticulous attention paid throughout the entire production cycle, from vineyard work to winemaking, the wines of Maria Pia Castelli have won over enthusiasts and critics at both national and international levels, establishing themselves as a stronghold of artisanal winemaking in the Marche.

regarding white grapes. The plants benefit from an altitude of 200 meters above sea level and the clayey matrix of the soils, which are also rich in mineral elements such as iron and magnesium. Furthermore, the particular geographical position, nestled between the Sibillini Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, contributes to the unique climate of the area. The harvest is done by hand with careful selection of the bunches, and in the winery, fermentations occur spontaneously mostly in oak vats, with prolonged skin macerations, although for the wines that are meant to be more immediate, stainless steel tanks are also used. For the subsequent aging phase, French oak barriques or steel containers can be employed, always depending on the specific label. Throughout the entire process, the additions of sulfites are minimal, and invasive clarification and filtration operations are excluded.
