Mirabella

Mirabella is an interesting and original reality of Franciacorta, born from the desire to recover a more direct and authentic relationship with the ecosystem of the territory. The company philosophy is oriented towards respect for nature and the creation of wines capable of transparently expressing the characteristics of the terroir, preserving the typicality of the varietal aromas of healthy and genuine grapes. A unique style in the Franciacorta landscape, which has distinguished the winery since its inception and allowed it to stand out. Environmental sensitivity has translated into the adoption of the organic farming regulations, rejecting the use of chemical substances and using only sulfur and copper for treatments, in order to preserve the vitality of the soils and promote biodiversity in the vineyard.

The winery is located in Rodengo Saiano, in the eastern area of the denomination's district, in a particularly vocated area. From a geological point of view, Franciacorta was formed by the retreat of a large alpine glacier, which has left debris of sands, gravel, and pebbles. The territory is made up of gentle morainic hills that offer well-sunny and ventilated exposures, ideal for high-quality viticulture. The vine has dwelled in these lands for centuries, although the history of sparkling wine is rather recent. Only after World War II, in fact, the territory took the path of the Metodo Classico, starting to cultivate almost exclusively Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Pinot bianco. A choice that rewarded the denomination, which in just a few decades has managed to establish itself nationally and internationally as one of the best excellences in the world of sparkling wines.

The winery has maintained a family dimension and relies on the expertise of three oenologists: Teresio Schiavi, the founder of the winery, and his two sons Alessandro and Alberto. Teresio deserves credit for giving a natural imprint to the project from the very beginning. Far from an industrial vision of wine, he chose to passionately pursue the path of environmental protection and respect for the land. Alessandro is in charge ofthe management of the winery, the winemaking processes, and the elaboration of the Metodo Classico, putting into practice the inspiring principles of Teresio. Alberto holds the position of marketing and sales manager. Always updated on new consumption trends and the characteristics of international markets, he has made an important contribution to the brand's affirmation both in Italy and abroad.
