Ricci Noelia

Noelia Ricci is the name of an ambitious project aimed at experimenting with and enhancing the Sangiovese of Romagna, born within the Tenuta Pandolfa thanks to the initiative of Marco Cirese. The territory is the Apennine area of the Valle del Rabbi, on the Romagna hills of Predappio, where Sangiovese has been cultivated since ancient times. The return to the origins and the most typical characteristics of Sangiovese from Romagna is precisely the goal of this project, through the production of elegant and expressive wines, created by rejecting the trends of recent decades, without over-ripening and without aging in wood.

The Sangiovese vineyards selected for this project, now elevated to the status of cru, were the least appreciated by Tenuta Pandolfa because, located over 200 meters above sea level on poor soils exposed to refreshing sea breezes, they have low productivity, mainly due to grapes with low alcohol content and pronounced freshness. Marco Cirese has turned these limitations into virtues and characteristics of the territory, rediscovering and enhancing the most authentic character of Romagna wines, to be identified in the drinkability, elegance, freshness, and aromatic cleanliness.

The wines signed by Noelia Ricci, the name of the estate owner and founder of the winery, are the clear expression of a unique territory that has finally rediscovered its most distinctive characteristics as strengths. The production process, in the vineyard as in the winery, is meticulous and traditional, without extremism or forced methods. Thus, very elegant and traditional wines are born, with expressive freshness and a pleasant and impeccable drinkability.
