Piantate Lunghe
Piantate Lunghe is a winery set among the sweet and fertile hills behind the Marchigian capital of Ancona, born from Amedeo Giustini's desire to relaunch the old family farm alongside Roberto and Guido Mazzoni, two dear friends of the Giustini family. The two expanded the old estate from 4.5 hectares by adding another 8 hectares of hillside vineyards, perfectly exposed to the south and the warmth of the sun, which morphologically gently slope down from the slopes of Monte Conero. The main grape varieties cultivated here are Montepulciano and Sangiovese, which, thanks to the skilled hands of agronomist Federico Curtaz, provide elegant territorial expressions that are unique and typical of the Rosso Conero denomination.
The reference for Piantate Lunghe is therefore inscribed in the typicality outlined by the morphology of Monte Conero, which stands out over the Adriatic Sea and the coastal countryside, creating a setting with a unique microclimate: the delicate sea breezes meet the winds coming from the mountain, making the vineyards always airy and never at risk of excessive humidity.in the risk of excessive humidity. Also contributing is the calcareous soil, poor in substances but with a pronounced mineral structure, the Montepulciano grape reigns supreme as the prince of the varieties of this area, synthesizing within it a very wide range of aromas, colors, flavors and developing during maturation a high sugar and aromatic content, necessary for the vinification of great reds with enveloping body and structure.
The specialty of the Piantate Lunghe winery is therefore the red Conero, a typical and spontaneous red expression of these splendid Marche hills, which outlines a well-defined organoleptic profile based on great aromatic persistence and intense notes of ripe, fresh, and crunchy fruit. Full-bodied and structured, it can easily withstand long aging thanks especially to the dense and pungent tannic structure that this category of bottles expresses in the early years of life, becoming soft and comfortable over time. An essential stronghold of Marche enology, bearing the sincere territorial signature of Amedeo Giustini.
